There was no dull moment as students
battled to win votes and the kitchen sizzled
with competition.
t could be quite a daunting task trying to market yourself,
or rather to convince others that you are good enough for
a task. For some others, it is a piece of cake because they
I might have a litany of achievements to call up in their fa-
vour. The stage was quite busy last Monday when a total of 68
students each tried to convince the school in 90 seconds why
they should be voted as prefects.
Contrary to what somebody might think, ‘That would be a
long boring time’, there was no dull moment in the hall. Mean-
while, I will leave you to get a feel of the proceedings as you
navigate to pages 6-9.
The Inter House Cooking Competition this year tested the
students’ skills at cooking a traditional dish. After grilling for 90
minutes, cutting, washing, seasoning, and boiling, the results
showed that the group cooked the best. It is better you do not
open pages 10-15 if you are hungry.
On pages 16-17, the Medical Corner educates us on how to
care for our dentition while wearing braces. You may not use
orthodontic braces, but you must have seen those who use
them around. However, it is even just important that you are
equipped with an understanding of how to keep your teeth
clean while having braces on.
This week’s digest has a number of other items for your infor-
mation and education. You will be doing yourself a whole lot
of good by reading it.
