Assembly
riday, the last day, was my fa-
F vourite—Drama Day. During as-
sembly, Year 7 and Year 9 stu-
dents performed monologues. I was one
of the Year 9s and did a piece as Marga-
ret from Richard III by Shakespeare. There
was also a French quiz where two people
from each house competed to test their
knowledge.
But the highlight of the day (and maybe
the whole week) for me was a short play
I co-directed with our drama teacher, Mr.
Temitope. It was called
“The Sheer Audacity
of Love”,
Languages and it told the story of a man who gives
his fiancée a kidney… and she ends up
cheating on him with his best friend. It
took a lot of rehearsal and planning, but
it was worth it as the students really en-
joyed it, and I’m extremely proud of how
it turned out.
Overall, Languages Week was such a
great time. It brought a lot of energy
into the school and gave us a chance to
express ourselves in different, creative
ways.
