Year 1 Rabbit kicked off their Mathematics lesson, embarking on an adventurous Number Card Hunt
in the Playground. The children enthusiastically scoured the area, eagerly discovering hidden number
cards. Once identified, they used counters to skillfully represent the numbers they found, blending
learning with play in a wonderfully engaging way.
The excitement continued as the lesson ended with a vibrant counting activity in the ball pit. Here, the
children demonstrated their ability to quantify by picking out the exact number of balls corresponding
to the numbers on their cards. They practised essential mathematical skills such as counting and recog-
nizing numbers, focusing on counting objects from 0 to 20, understanding the conservation of num-
bers, and one-to-one correspondence.
Great Job, Year 1 Rabbit! Your enthusiasm and brilliant efforts truly shone through! Keep up the great
work!
