RECEP TION

As part of helping our Reception children get ready for the big move to Year 1, we’ve been
focusing on building important self-care skills — and one key area is learning to tidy up after
using the toilet.

Using visual prompts, gentle guidance, and clear daily routines, we’re encouraging the chil-
dren to take small steps toward independence. This not only helps them feel more confident

and capable but also gets them ready for the greater responsibilities they’ll have in Year 1.
