We are thrilled to announce two exciting opportunities for our young learners to
shine on stage. Our talented children will bring beloved classics to life with their The
Lion King and The Sound of Music performances this term.

• Key Stage 1: The Lion King
Our youngest stars in Key Stage 1 will transport us to the plains of Africa with their
adaptation of The Lion King. Through lively songs, vibrant costumes, and expressive
storytelling, the children will showcase the powerful themes of friendship, bravery, and
the circle of life. It is a chance to be in the spotlight, build their confidence, and share
their talents with the school community.
• Key Stage 2: The Sound of Music
Meanwhile, our Key Stage 2 students are busy rehearsing The Sound of Music. This
timeless musical provides the perfect platform for older students to demonstrate their
growing acting, singing, and stagecraft abilities. As they bring the inspiring story of
the von Trapp family to life, they will also develop teamwork, discipline, and a sense
of accomplishment. We cannot wait to hear their rendition of unforgettable songs like
“Do-Re-Mi” and “My Favourite Things.”
How You Can Support the Arts
We encourage you, as parents, to play an active role in supporting the arts. Please sup-
port your child by helping them practice their lines and songs. Show your enthusiasm
by attending school productions. Your presence means the world to your child and
reinforces the value of their hard work and creativity. Please encourage your child to
try new artistic activities, whether joining a drama club, learning a musical instrument,
or simply practising their lines or songs at home. Take your child to local theatres, art
