The pre-playgroup and playgroup children engaged in various activities that support their ongoing
learning and development by allowing them to choose and interact with materials and experiences
that interest them during continuous provision.
The children brushed a dental mould and a doll with toothpaste and toothbrushes, maintaining a hy-
giene routine. In the sandpit area, they built a house for the farm animals, explored some ducks in the
pond on the sandpit, and made bracelets using straws and pipe cleaners to encourage hand-eye coor-
dination.
They role-played as doctors, administering injections and other treatments to patients. They also ma-
nipulated feathers and pom-poms with plates, tweezers, and scoopers to develop fine motor skills and
listened to puppet storytelling, which sparked their interest in the story.
The children compared weights using measuring scales with different objects and washed their play
toys with soapy water and a sponge. They explored different colours, spraying on the wall using spray
bottles, making continuous provision more fun and exciting.
