hile the KS4 Science Trip was
packed with learning and
W exploration, students also had
ample opportunities to unwind and enjoy
themselves. Evenings at the IITA campus
were filled with laughter and friendly
competition, from cycling, volleyball, table
tennis, and football to nature walks and
playground games. After long mornings at
the maize units, water treatment plant, or
rainforest trails, these moments of recreation
provided a welcome break, allowing
students to bond, recharge, and reflect.

During excursions such as the Olumo Rock
adventure and visits to Agodi Gardens,
students balanced physical activity with
fun, from horseback riding and paintball to
exploring the gardens’ scenic landscapes.
Meals and casual outings, including Burger
King, Domino’s, and Cold Stone Creamery,
added a social and relaxing element to the
trip. Even simple downtime in their rooms,
freshening up after excursions, offered
students a chance to relax before dinner
and evening reflections, making the journey
both educational and rejuvenating.
