TERM 2 ACCOLADES ASSEMBLY
Once my name was called, I walked onto the
stage, and I barely remember what happened
during those moments; all I remember was
the sound of clapping. It was true euphoria.
I believe this award is the first of many and
the key to opening another chapter. I know it
may sound like a cliché, but hard work is the
most important thing for success. Without it,
nothing can be achieved. This award is not
just to show individual success; it shows that
if I can do it through hard work and diligence,

I is one such occasion. Since I began year 9, I
worked hard to try and get on the list but I was al-
ways with a constant average of 80. But through
hard work and perseverance, I finally made it.
When I got the email, I thought it was a mistake,
and I couldn’t believe my eyes. Even during the
practice for the assembly, I was still in shock and

Nervousness overcame me, and my heart began
