Boarding?
STUDENT LIFE So, How’s
I would rate
it 100 /10!
Nwana Zara Akpolagha Dickson on her experience so far
in Boarding School.
y name is Nwana Zara Akpolagha Dickson and I
am in Year 7 Benue. I stay in Oduduwa Hostel at
M The Regent Secondary School (TRSS). From the
very first day, I felt at home. Year 11 students welcomed
me warmly, and my roommates were kind and sweet,
only three of us share the room which makes it cosy.
That evening, after our bags were checked, we went
to the dining hall for snacks and listened to our Vice
Principal Pastoral (VPS), Mr Akinola, introduce the school
to us and our parents. Soon after, our parents left and we
officially became boarders.
Since then, boarding has been full of fun and activities.
We had a movie night where we voted on the film, ate
suya, and laughed together. There is always something
happening after school, whether it is activities, games,
or just time to relax and finish homework. It never feels
boring.
My experience has been fantastic so far. Boarding gives
you friends, independence, and new routines, and I would
encourage anyone to try it. You will not regret it, in fact,
you will wish you joined earlier. For me, it is definitely a
100/10.
