As I bid my parents farewell, I felt like crying because that was my first time leaving
home. My houseparents and hostel members welcomed me. My roommates were
also new to boarding but we bonded immediately.

I was shown to my room, I brought out my items and arranged them in my locker.
I tried laying my bed but it was not neat, I was assisted by the hostel captain who
taught me how to go about it. The meals from breakfast to dinner are top-notch.
Boarding is fun because I still get to go for my Islamiyya every Saturday and Sun-
day and observe my daily prayers. Boarding is indeed a HOME AWAY FROM HOME.
