What baffles me, however, is watching someone
answer a Mathematics question even before the
quiz master finishes asking it.
n education, some students are identified as biased
towards figures, while others are noted to be biased
towards letters. This means that those who are biased
I towards figures prefer and perform better in subjects
related to calculations, while those biased towards letters
excel in subjects involving words and language.
What baffles me, however, is watching someone answer
a Mathematics question even before the quiz master fin-
ishes asking it. It seems like magic to me. That was exactly
what happened on stage last Friday during the Inter-House
Mathematics Competition. Pages 8-13 reveal how it all un-
folded.
Competing against seniors is no easy feat. However, the
students of Regent Secondary School went head-to-head
with Regent College last week in a basketball competition.
To experience the excitement just as those who were there
live, turn to pages 14-15.
We sometimes find ourselves in situations that make us
wish we were medical practitioners, but you do not have to
be one to administer first aid. The Medical Corner on pages
18-19 introduces us to the world of first aid.
