as it was my first time participating in a
maths competition but I was nervous as to participate again!
well, because we only had 20 seconds
to answer a question; luckily me and my
partner managed to solve the questions,
get bonus points and emerge as the win-
ners with 56 points in the year 9 category!
Which contributed to Congo House com-
ing 2nd overall.
There is a lot of pressure when you are on
stage, and our hands were shaking before
we could click on an answer. I didn’t real-
ly know how to prepare for it as we didn’t
Victory! know the topics, and after all, it was men-
tal maths, so I just did some quizzes, which
helped. In the end, it was an engaging
event for both the participants as well as
the audience, and I would love to partici-
pate again!
