 As long as the lemon trees grow is set in Syria during
 the Syrian civil war and tells a story about 18 year-
 old Salama Kassab who has been a victim of war as
 she navigates life under cruel dictatorship. She faced
 many conflicts but the biggest one being the constant
 battles  with  herself  on  whether  to  flee  and  abandon
 her home land or to stay and fight for her country.



 Throughout her young life, she encountered a lot of
 trials and tribulations along the way and has scars to
 prove it but she always had her backbone and sister
 in- law; Layla and her unborn niece holding her to-
 gether by a thin thread. Due to the tremendous blood
 she’d seen, she started seeing hallucinations which
