In the vibrant world of Year 2 Dolphins, math becomes an adventure! This week, our young
explorers delved into the fascinating realm of measurements, focusing on the weighty subject of

mass. With enthusiasm, they explored both standard and non-standard units of measuring mass.
From comparing the weight of objects around the classroom, the Dolphins engaged in lively
discussions, using mass vocabularies like “lighter than “ and “heavier than” to describe their

findings. However, the real excitement came when the Dolphins gathered around the weighing
scale, eagerly reading each other’s weights in kilograms. Laughter filled the room as they mar-
velled at the differences in weight and celebrated the diversity of objects and their masses.
