The Languages Faculty reflects on the success of the
Inter-House Speech Competition

he Languages Faculty of The Regent Secondary The Battles
School hosted an exciting Inter-House Speech
of Words
T Competition, with Volta, Senegal, Congo, and
Benue Houses competing in KS3 and KS4 categories.

Inter-House
After weeks of preparation, students took the stage,
delivering powerful speeches on different topics. Each

house showcased confidence, eloquence, and critical
thinking, making the competition intense and engaging.
Competition
In the end, Volta House claimed victory, thanks to two
outstanding speeches by Maia Otegbola and Nyeisha
Advani. Their exceptional delivery, persuasive argu-
ments, and strong stage presence secured the win.

The competition highlighted the importance of public
speaking and effective communication, encouraging
students to express ideas with clarity and confidence.
Congratulations to Volta House and all participants for
their effort and dedication!
