ESG IN FOCUS: SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION
OF THE DOUBLE MATERIALITY ANALYSIS -
NEXT MILESTONE IN SIGHT
We recently made significant progress in our ESG project:
The implementation of the double materiality analysis has
been successfully completed. This involved systematically
recording and evaluating both the internal and external
impacts of our business activities. This analysis forms a
solid foundation for managing ESG-relevant opportunities
and risks in a targeted manner and developing our strategic
direction accordingly.
A key success factor in this project step is the dedicated work of Mr.
Mende, who in his role as ESG Development Manager not only impresses
with his great professional expertise, but also creates acceptance for the
topic of ESG throughout the company. His contribution is instrumental in
ensuring that the project enjoys broad support within the company.
On this basis, the next steps now lie ahead:
prioritizing the identified fields of action,
developing concrete measures and defining clear responsibilities
as well as establishing structured ESG reporting in order to reliably
meet future regulatory requirements - such as those of the CSRD
(Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive)
ESG is far more than a regulatory necessity: it is a strategic key to
sustainable business success. Issues such as climate change, social
standards in global supply chains and increasing transparency requirements
make it clear how topical and relevant our commitment is.
We look forward to continuing on this path together - with a clear goal in
mind: responsible, sustainable corporate development.
