The Alchemist is a novel writ-
ten by the author Paulo Coelho. It was
first published by Harper Torch. The
current price for this book is Rs. 480.

The story is about a young
Spanish shepherd who wants to go to
Egypt to get his life's treasures under
the pyramids. He sets off to Africa on a small boat he got after selling some of his sheep. After reach-
ing there, he gets robbed and has to work at a crystal shop to earn some money for his journey to
the pyramids. On his way to the pyramids, he and some people stop at an Oasis where the shepherd
meets his love, but has to go with the alchemist. The alchemist teaches the boy some alchemy, which
helps the boy escape a war going on in the desert. When the boy finally reaches the pyramids, he
finds out the treasure was right at where he started his journey, just back in his home village. After
finding that out, he was finally ready to go home and get his treasures.
The main character in this book is Santiago, the shepherd. He sets off on his own journey to find his
destined treasure. The boy was good at understanding omens and also had two magic stones that
helped him make decisions throughout the story.

This book is very adventurous and has fantasy. It has many life lessons , and is written in a
poetic way. The book has lessons about the language of the world, about life and its difficulties. I real-
ly enjoyed this book because of the plot, characters and the way that it was written, and I recommend
this book to other people of my age.

This book teaches us how to write in a poetic way and to never stop chasing your dreams.
