King Amshuverma’s thoughts and feelings after his daughter Bhrikuti’s
wedding ceremony.

Dear Bibash,
Hope you're doing well, I was surprised to see that you were not at my daughter’s wedding ceremony. I had
sent you an invitation a week earlier so you would be here but your important affairs must have held you
back and couldn’t be with us.
My precious daughter is now a beautiful lady, I remember when I would play with her. I didn’t want her to go.
But sometimes, you need to let things go. Even worse is that Brikuti is now married to Songsta Gampo who
in case you don’t know is the emperor of Tibet.
I bid her goodbye yesterday with a heavy heart. But I have mixed feelings. I know I have married off my
daughter far away from Nepal but I feel I have made a rightful decision. I will rarely get to see her but on the
other hand my country will benefit from her marriage. It will strengthen our bond with the chinese. It will
help spread nepali culture in a big country and the trade relations will also improve and have economic and
political advantages. Bhrikuti had to go for the good of the country.
This is a great achievement for our country. I can also get to explore Tibet and learn a lot when I go to visit
my daughter.
Although this wedding was a personal loss, I am happy for my country. I hope Bhrikuti will make me and my
country proud
Please visit me soon.
Your friend,
Amshuverma.
