Nepalese

Sikkim is a state of diverse communities, cultures, religion and

customs. There are three main communities in Sikkim- Lepchas,
Bhutias and Nepalese. People from these communities live together

in peace and have great respect for each other ‘s religion. The

Nepalese are spread throughout the state. They make up 70%of the
total population of Sikkim. They are good framers and businessmen.

Cardomon is an important cash crop that was cultivated by Nepalese.
These people speak language that is similar to Hindi and is

understood throughout the state of Sikkim
