To help our members record their CPD, IGEM provide access
to an online CPD tool called mycareerpath. This tool can be
accessed online via your laptop, tablet or smartphone, making
it ideal to use on the go. It’s quick and easy to use and can
provide useful reports on your CPD activities.

5. SUBMIT YOUR CPD RECORD
Every summer, IGEM will randomly select a number of members and ask them to submit their CPD
records for the last 12 months. Although we prefer you use mycareerpath to submit a CPD report, we
accept records in any format. We also provide you with a CPD form that can be completed without
logging into mycareerpath. Once we’ve received the CPD records, we will review them and provide
feedback to each member. If you submit a CPD plan, we will be able to provide much more constructive
feedback as we will have a better idea of your intentions. If you are worried about CPD for any reason,
please contact IGEM’s Professional Development Officer. As your Institution we are here to provide you
with support and advice on CPD. If you’re struggling, contact us – it’s our job to help you.
