                             Professor Russell Thomas presents the fifth instalment of a new booklet,
                             serialised exclusively for Gi, which has been produced for National Grid
                          Property (NGP) to record the rich history of gas in Norwich. Here, he describes
                                     how one man reorganised the city’s two main gasworks
