“Population Distribution, Species, and Its Habitat of Family Trionychidae In Chini Lake, Pahang”
Project
Projek “Population Distribution, Species, And Its Habitat of Family Trionychidae In Chini Lake,
Pahang” ialah satu program yang menggunakan geran National Conservation Trust Fund (NCTF)
daripada Kementerian Tenaga dan Sumber Asli. Sejumlah RM100,000 telah diperuntukkan untuk
pelaksanaan projek yang mengambil masa selama 2 tahun. Objektif program ini ialah untuk
mengenalpasti spesies, menentukan habitat dan memetakan taburan bagi Famili Trionychidae yang
terdapat di sekitar tasik.
Population Distribution, Species, And Its Habitat of Family Trionychidae In Chini Lake, Pahang is a
project funded by the Ministry Energy and Natural Resources under the National Conservation Trust
Fund (NCTF) grant scheme. This project was allocated with a sum of RM 100,000 to run within the
period of 2 years. The objective of the programme is to identify the species, determine the habitat and
mapping the distribution of Family Trionychidae within and at the surrounding of the lake.
Seramai 9 orang kakitangan terdiri daripada kakitangan Bahagian Ex-situ dan Bahagian Konservasi
Hidupan Liar, Daerah Maran, Daerah Muadzam Shah, dan Daerah Jerantut telah terlibat. Kaedah yang
digunakan ialah cerapan secara langsung melalui pemerhatian dan juga pemasangan perangkap.
Sebanyak 39 perangkap telah dipasang dan hasil yang diperoleh ialah Coura amboinensis, Varanus
salvator dan Trionychidae spp. Selain daripada itu, 86 spesis telah dicerap melalui pemerhatian iaitu
77 spesis Kumpulan Avian, 8 spesis Kumpulan Mamalia dan 1 spesis Kumpulan Reptilia. Pada tahun
2020 projek ini telah berjaya disempurnakan dan dibentangkan di Mesyuarat Jawatankuasa Teknikal
Kumpulan Wang Amanah Tabung Amanah Konservasi Sumber Asli Nasional pada 19 Oktober 2020.
A total of 9 staffs were involved in this project from the Ex-situ Division and the Wildlife Conservation
Division, Maran district office, Muadzam Shah district office and Jerantut district office. In this project,
direct capture and observation were applied as methodology to identify the species. Total of 39 traps
were deployed and the result are Coura amboinensis, Varanus salvator dan Trionychidae spp. 86
species were recorded through observation comprised of 77 species of Aves, 8 species of Mammals
and 1 species of Reptiles. In 2020, this project was successfully submitted and presented in Mesyuarat
Jawatankuasa Teknikal Kumpulan Wang Amanah Tabung Amanah Konservasi Sumber Asli
Nasional on the 19th October 2020.
