THE UNCONTROLLABLE FACTORS AND OUTCOMES

There was a study of 700 men for 75 years to understand what
makes people happy and healthy for longer. There was also a
recent survey of millennia on what their primary goals are. The
result was predictable because 80% think money and wealth
would make them happy. 50% of millennia wants fame and
fortunes thinking that would make them happy. The study of those
700 men shows that money, fame and achievements rarely make
people happy. Without putting you in suspense at all, the study
shows that those in good relationships both romantic and platonic
are happier regardless of their level of income.
I want to share with you two life extremes to illustrate the point on
my take about the purpose of life. I read a book sometimes ago
about the ancient Jew's secrets. The secrets were originally
hidden from the majority of the people, except for the Rabbis and
top leaders of the community. I was skeptical at the beginning but
as I went further into the book, a pearl of new wisdom and
understanding emerged from the book. It wasn’t overtly religious
surprisingly but full of insights and the truths about life. The reason
why I am sharing this with you is the stress entrepreneurs face
trying to control the uncontrollable. In the process of trying to apply
force to get their ways, the goals just recede more away from them.
