RECEPTION OF THE BODY

The Clergy meets the body at the entrance to the church

Priest: In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy
Spirit.

People: Amen

Priest: With faith in Jesus Christ, we receive the body of our
handmaiden Abimbola Olayinka for burial. Let us pray with

confidence in God, the Giver of life, that He will raise her to

perfection in the company of the Saints.

Silence may be kept, after which the Celebrant says:

Priest: Deliver Your handmaiden Abimbola Olayinka O sovereign Lord

Jesus Christ, from all evil, and set her free from every bond,

that she may rest with all your Saints in the eternal
habitations, where with the Father and the Holy Spirit you live

and reign, one God, for ever and ever. Amen

Priest: Rest eternal grant unto her O Lord

People: And let light perpetual shine upon her
Priest: I have set the Lord always before me for He is on my right

hand, therefore I shall not fall.

People: Wherefore my heart was glad and my glory rejoiced; my
flesh shall also rest in hope

Priest: For why? Thou shall not leave my soul in hell; neither shalt
Thou suffer Thy Holy One to see corruption.

People: Thou shall show me the path of life, in Thy presence is the
fullness of joy, and at thy right hand is pleasure forever
more.
Priest: Rest eternal grant unto her, O Lord

People: And let light perpetual shine upon them
