The 5 WHYS may not be complicated to implement, and most
people take this simplicity for granted; because they think it should
be more difficult or sophisticated. This process was discovered by
             Sakichi Toyoda, a Japanese inventor, and industrialist in the 50s;
it was said to be part of the Toyota Lean Manufacturing process.
You just ask why 5 times to get to the root cause of a problem.
Most problems present a symptom that usually disguises the root
cause, to permanently resolve the problem; you must go beyond
looking at the symptom and find the root cause. Finding the root
cause will help you eliminate the bottleneck for good. See a typical
             simple 5 whys illustration below:

             THE FIRST PRINCIPLE

Analogy is the simplest way to reach decisions because when
something is like something else you are familiar with then, it is
much easier to understand. There is no strenuous mental energy
required to think deeper or question further. This is a mentally lazy
approach to problem-solving. You must get away from using an
analogy when you want to get through to the root cause of a
problem. Elon Musk puts it succinctly that you must reason from
the fundamental truth about the situation. It is important to
eliminate all assumptions or speculations about the issue at hand.
So, no analogy is necessary, just the simple truth about the
             situation. Follow these simple steps:

                                           60
