make a good decision but when in a foul mood, you make a poor
decision. So, keep a gratitude journal and start today. There was
a research that concluded that those who keep gratitude journals
are 30% happier that those who don’t. The effect remains for
months after they have stopped keeping the journal. A little note
about happiness and success. Some entrepreneurs are setting
goals thinking that achieving it would make them happy. That’s the
wrong way to go about it because when you are happy, you are
likely to get your goals effortlessly.
Relationship – if you have a relationship going nowhere especially
romantic ones, your business is likely to reflect that. Have a
closure or completeness about your relationship; if you are in be
100% in; if you are out, be 100% out. Learn to complete things as
a matter of course. This is much more powerful than I have the
time and space to do it justice. Just do it.
Conflict with your values – in your pursuit of business and
productivity, avoid running headlong against your values. If you
love family, if you sacrifice your time with them because of work,
you will end up self-sabotaging yourself at some point. If you are
happy, you are likely to be successful, but people wrongly think
that when they are successful, they would be happy. Find
happiness first and everything else would be added. Remember
the research of those 700 men I discussed earlier; find happiness
in the relationship that you have, and your result will flow
effortlessly.
Meditation – there are several misgivings about meditation, and I
am often amazed at the ignorance about his subject. Sit down
quietly and breath in and out for 20 minutes thinking about nothing.
That’s it! This will make you a lot of money. It isn’t the meditation
itself; it is like giving the mind a break from its breakneck speed of
unabated streams of thoughts. Meditation will calm your mind so
that you are more creative, you can discern good opportunities
faster, you are also more productive. Let me give you some
famous people who swore by the impact of meditation in their life
and results. Oprah Winfrey, Steve Job, Ray Dalio, Tony Robbins,
Brendon Burchard, etc. I can tell you that whatever value you get
