EMERGENCY CARDIAC SERVICES
In a heart-related emergency, time is precious. By choosing a hospital with comprehensive heart emergency services— including a Heart Emergency Center, emergency angioplasty capabilities and
a heart surgery team—you eliminate the need for transfer to another hospital.
Heart Hospital of Lafayette (HHL) is fully equipped to perform angioplasty, open heart surgery and many other emergency heart surgeries. HHL is equipped with cutting-edge technologies and highly trained sta to respond to any heart emergency, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
CARDIAC CATHETERIZATION LAB
e Catheterization Laboratory at Heart Hospital of Lafayette o ers a full range of services and procedures for cardiac patients including interventional cardiac and peripheral vascular procedures,
angiograms, catheterization, stents, valvuloplasty and more.
CARDIAC IMAGING
Heart Hospital of Lafayette provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient diagnostic services. Centrally located on the rst oor of the hospital, the cardiac imaging department o ers exible and extended hours for outpatient scheduling, as well as timely and prompt delivery of results to your physician.
CARDIAC SURGICAL SERVICES
Heart Hospital of Lafayette (HHL) surgical services specialize in procedures involving the cardiovascular system. e majority
of surgeries performed at HHL are heart and vascular procedures; other surgeries involving the thorax or chest, such as
lung surgery, are also performed. Some of the most common cardiac and vascular procedures at HHL include:

• Minimally Invasive Valve Repair and Replacement
• Coronary Artery Bypass Gra Surgery (CABG)

CARDIAC REHABILITATION
Heart Hospital of Lafayette’s Cardiac Rehab Program was awarded certi cation through the American Association
of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation. AACVPR-Certi ed programs are recognized as leaders in the eld of cardiovascular and pulmonary rehabilitation because they o er the
most advanced practices available. Cardiac rehabilitation, or cardiac rehab, refers to an individualized treatment plan designed to help you recover from a heart attack, heart disease or heart surgery. Your personal cardiac rehab plan includes a thorough evaluation along with instruction on physical activity, nutrition, stress management, and other health related areas.
COUMADIN THERAPY SUITE
Heart Hospital of Lafayette’s Anticoagulation Suite is committed to maximizing the bene t of anti-coagulation therapy for our patients. Our caregivers are specially trained in anticoagulation therapy, and work closely with primary care providers to help patients manage Coumadin dosing and to reduce side e ects and complications during therapy.
CV STAT®
Available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, CV STAT® is an emergency referral and transfer system for cardiac patients who require a higher level of cardiac care. is one-call system uses proven streamlined processes to deliver a higher level of cardiac care to the patients of outlying communities and surrounding parishes in Acadiana.
WEEKEND INTENSIVIST
A Cardiovascular Intensivist is available on campus every Friday from 12 noon to 7 p.m. and on Saturdays and Sundays from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Outside of these hours, on- call coverage is provided for our patients.

HEARTVantage is a wellness service designed around your heart health. Our
program is unlike any other in Acadiana because this is the rst time a nationally accredited, specialized care facility has
dedicated it’s resources to the prevention of heart disease at absolutely no cost
to members. When you join HEARTVantage, you have access to a 24-Hour Nurse
Resource Line, Health Coaching & Nutrition, Cardiovascular
Rehabilitation, Educational Classes, E-mail Updates, Free
and Discounted Health Screenings, Mailing Updates and Newsletters.
