                   The International Guild of Knot Tyers



                    Founded in 1982, the guild is a registered charity with the declared object of

                    “the advancement of education by the study of the art, craft and science of
                    knotting, past and present.” The Guild regularly publishes a magazine Knotting
                    Matters that is sent to all members. There are now well over a thousand
              Pocket Guide to Knots & Splices
                    members in over twenty-five countries. Groups of members meet together both
                    in small local meetings and much larger international meetings. Membership is

                    open to all who have an interest in knot tying be they highly skilled or just
