Chapter 8
Accumulation of riches takes Time
I remember listening to a successful owner of a radio station talking about how she
used to be a voracious saver in her twenties. She bought a piece of land while in
college. Twenty years later the land was worth a fortune. She was able to sell it and
use the money she made from the sale to purchase the license to operate the radio
station she now owned.
And to drive home her point, she declared that any twenty-year-old that owned
jewelry or clothing that was more expensive than her own was not wise.
Why?
Because starting from a young age to look as rich as a businesswoman that had been
working for 20 years just didn’t make sense.
It takes time to become rich and even more time to become very rich.
No matter the investment path you use, riches will not be made in a day or in a
month.
There will be the investing stage, the waiting and persevering stage, and finally the
profit-making stage. Sometimes it takes several months. But in the real world, most
times it takes several years, sometimes decades.
