D. Instructional Material Development
A teacher-made instructional material answers the high-priced textbooks and other
instructional materials. To enhance the teacher’s ability in developing his/her own instructional
materials and devices, the following strategies were engaged:
❖Creation of an Instructional Material Development Committee (IMDC) composed of college
instructional material coordinators to review print and non-print teacher-made materials;
❖Seminar on Continuing Professional Development Program on Writing Module,
November 17, 2017 at Alba Hall, Isabela State University, Echague, Isabela. This was sponsored
by the Instructional Material Development Committee and Office of the Director for Instruction;
and
❖Seminar - Workshop on Outcome-Based Education (OBE) Teaching and Learning
Framework, January 8-9, 2018, Alba Hall, Isabela State University, Echague, Isabela. This was
sponsored by the Instructional Material Development Committee and Office of the Director for
Instruction; and
❖Submission of the teacher-made instructional materials such as syllabi, modules, PowerPoint
lessons, models, and other print and non-print devices.
