               Traveling in the West

               for a Hundred Years

               Datong District | Zhaoyang Park
                            Jiancheng Circle

               The neighborhood where Chaoyang Park
is located, used to be a tea processing area,
is now a hut for buttons and fabric stores.
In this park, you can see the path of the
               industrial changes in the neighborhood.
               The game facilities combined some
               patterns of buttons, zippers,
               stitches shapes, are ver y
               interesting and special.
               The Jiancheng Circle
               is the epitome of both
               the history of the old
               city and that of Taipei’s
               political and economic
               development. The Circle
               was built in the Japanese
               occupation period, a park
               for food vendors. An air-raid
               reservoir was established during
World War II but got deserted for
ten years due to a fire. Three of the past
mayors since 2002 applied respectively altered
plans to this park, and now is a recreation
scenic park for the public. The City-level
               relics "Dadaochen Circle Air-raid Reservoir"
               is retained too.
