               Green Life in Wanhwa

               Wanhua District | Youth Park

Youth Park is the fourth largest park
in Taipei and is full with history. During
the Japanese occupation period, it used
to be a military training ground, a horse
racecourse, and an airport. After the
               National Government came to Taiwan,
               the Taipei Country Club cooperated
with the Ministry of National Defense
to establish the Taipei Golf Club. In the
1970s, the Executive Yuan instructed the
Taipei City Government to be in charge
of its transformation into a modern
youth park as the way it is now. The
park's facilities are diverse and complete
with large swimming pools, golf courses,
various courses and so on that are rare
               in general neighborhood parks. Various
varieties of trees can be seen in the park,
such as coniferous forests and maples,
making the park colorful and interesting,
full of changes in four seasons.
