Four Tampa Teens Charged With Robbery In Lakeland
Man Gets 30 Years In Murder Of Young Mom

A 47-year-old Tampa man was sentenced to 30 years in prison. He entered a guilty plea to second-degree mur- der last week.

pleaded guilty to shooting Ms. Jillian Boone, a 20- year-old mother to death in front of witnesses on August 15th of last year. He then turned the gun on himself.
Ms. Boone, whose daughter was 3-years-old at the time, died at the scene. Gaston Alicea was trans- ported to Tampa General Hospital in critical condition.

Four Tampa teenagers were taken into custody in Lakeland and charged in connection with a robbery. The offense oc- curred at the Old Navy Store, 919 Lakeland Park Center Drive.
According to police, shortly before 9 p.m., Monday, four individuals entered the store. An employee told police that they concealed merchandise in bags and attempted to leave.
The clerk confronted the suspects and they dropped three of the bags of merchan- dise. The three bags contained $1,075.94 in merchandise that was recovered. However, one of the suspects, identified as Ms. Ashli Adams, 19, al- legedly struck the employee in the face and another suspect grabbed the bag. All four of them fled the scene in a vehi- cle.
At approximately 9 p.m., a Polk County Sheriff’s deputy conducted a traffic stop on a 2010 Mercury Milan near Kathleen Road and Interstate Drive. The vehicle was stopped because an order to seize the tag had been issued.

When police arrived, they
discovered that Ms. Boone had suffered several gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.

gaged in a conversation. They crossed the street and went into the parking lot just prior to the shooting.
Gaston Alicea’s trial was slated to begin this week. However, the public de- fender and prosecutor reached an agreement which resulted in the plea agree- ment.

The deputies contacted the Lakeland Police Department and were informed of the rob- bery involving four suspects that had just occurred.
During the investigation, police said the clerk positively identified four suspects and they were wearing the same clothing as seen in the video.
Ms. Adams was taken into custody and charged with rob- bery without a firearm. Ms. Alexis Lee, 18, Ms. Rashonda Milton, 19, and Donovan Brown, 19, were all charged with grand theft.
All four of the suspects gave home addresses in Tampa.

Auto Theft Investigation Lands 14 In Jail On Felony Charges
The culmination of an investigation into the theft of vehicles has re- sulted in the arrest of 17 individuals. The Hillsbor- ough County Sheriff’s Of- fice charged 14 of them with felonies.
According to police, the investigation began two months ago with a spike in auto thefts in southern Hillsborough County. During that time period, 46 vehicles were stolen from various loca- tions.
In 42 of the 46 cases where the vehicles were stolen, the keys were left inside the vehicles and doors unlocked.
Officials said in the other 4 cases, the vehicle didn’t have the keys in- side, but they were lo- cated in another vehicle in the driveway.
The investigation also revealed that four firearms were stolen after they were left in the vehi- cles by their owners. All of the firearms were recov- ered.
David Edwards, 19, was charged with grand theft of a motor ve- hicle.
Michael Edward Morton, 33, was charged with two counts of grand theft motor vehicle; two counts of grand theft third degree; dealing in stolen property, and false information on secondary metals re- cycling form.
Michael Alexander Pe- terson, 16, was charged with grand theft of a motor ve- hicle; three counts of burglary of an unoccupied con- veyance; and two counts of petit theft.
Jamorie Malik Carter, 15, was charged with grand theft of a motor vehicle, and being minor in possession of a firearm.
Three other ju- veniles were taken into custody and charged with mis- demeanors as well.
Noah Samuel Omorgie, 15, was charged with grand theft of a motor ve- hicle, burglary of an unoccupied con- veyance, and resist- ing officer without violence.
Trevaughn Michael Griffis, 16, was charged with three counts of grand theft of a motor vehicle; four counts of burglary of an unoccupied conveyance; grand theft third degree, petit theft, being a felon in possession of a firearm, dis- charging a firearm from a vehicle, armed burglary of conveyance, grand theft firearm, and resisting officer without violence.

Mark Joseph Denney, 33, was charged with three counts of grand theft of a motor ve- hicle; and three counts of burglary of an unoccupied conveyance.
Guy William White, 46, was charged with three counts of grand theft of a motor vehicle; three counts of burglary of an unoccupied conveyance; grand theft third degree, grand theft second degree, and petit theft.
