Body Of Man Found In Ditch Identified
Police Seek
    Murder Suspect Dies Of Apparent Suicide
A 34-year-old man wanted in connection with a murder is dead. Police said he took his own life.
According to the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office, the incident that ended with two deaths began shortly after 5 p.m., Friday, in Wesley Chapel. Deputies re- sponded to an apartment in reference to a shooting. When they arrived at 6122 Ryerson Circle, Apartment #8, they discovered Ms. Karisa Vazquez, 36, dead. The suspect fled the scene.
Her 13-year-old daughter was at the home at the time of the shooting, but was not injured.
Detectives identified
Brian Roosevelt Wilson,
who is the father of the teenager, as the suspect. A warrant was issued for his ar- rest.
Several hours later, on

Saturday afternoon, Wilson was confronted by law en- forcement in Highlands County while at the Lakeshore Mall, 901 U. S. 27, in Sebring. He fled the scene and apparently fatally in- jured himself, police said.
The investigation is con- tinuing and no additional in- formation was available.
   On July 8th, deputies re- sponded to the 14000 block of N. Dale Mabry Highway, in reference to the discovery of human remains. The individ- ual has been identified as a missing person from last year.
According to police, the man is Victor Martin Tor- res, whose last known ad- dress was in Wesley Chapel.
He had been reported miss- ing by his family on July 9, 2018.
Police said foul play does not appear to be a factor in his death. The investigation is continuing.
The body was discovered by a person working in the area, near the intersection of N. Dale Mabry Highway and Ehrlich Road.
Detectives are asking mem- bers of the community for help with the investigation of an un- solved murder. The murder took place around 1:30 a.m., in Plant City.
According to the Hillsbor- ough County Sheriff’s Office, the murder took place on June 17th. An adult female was found dead at a mobile home in the 4800 block of Trapnell Road.
Investigators said she suf- fered upper body trauma.
Police said the death does not appear to be a random act of violence. The name of the victim has not been released.

Man Shot Outside Store In Critical Condition

A 31-year-old man is listed in critical condition after being shot. The shooting took place Sunday evening.
According to the St. Pe- tersburg Police Department, officers were dispatched to the Food Max, 1400 18th Avenue, South, in reference to a shoot- ing. When they arrived, they discovered that Darrell Sim- mons, Jr., was suffering from gunshot wounds and had life-threatening injuries.
He was transported to a local hospital, where he was listed in critical, but stable condition.
The investigation into the shooting is continuing.

 Pregnant Woman
Revived, Arrested
For Child Neglect
Police have arrested a pregnant woman and charged her in connection with child neglect. The incident took place last Monday in a Winter Haven parking lot.
According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called to the parking lot in the 1100 block of Spirit Lake Road, in Winter Haven. They responded in reference to a woman being passed out in a vehicle.
When first responders ar- rived at the scene, they dis- covered the woman passed out behind the steering wheel. The car was reportedly still running. Two children under the age of 5 years were in the backseat crying and sweating, police said.
Fire Rescue was called and two doses of Narcan were administered to Ms. Mar- sha Forrester, of Winter Haven. Narcan is used to re- vive an individual suffering from an opiod overdose.

livery date. Ms. Forrester was transported to a local hospital, where she under- went an emergency C-Sec- tion. The infant was listed in critical condition.
Ms. Forrester was ar- rested on Thursday and charged with two counts of child neglect without great bodily harm. She was trans- ported to the Polk County Jail.
Detectives are currently searching for a man in con- nection with a murder. The incident took place a week ago.
According to the Largo Police Department, on Sun- day, July 7th, officers re- sponded to a shooting at the Autumn Chase Apartments. When they arrived, they dis- covered a 22-year-old man was deceased. The unidenti- fied man had been shot in the back, police said.
During the investigation, detectives learned that three males had fled the scene fol- lowing the shooting. Detec- tives also learned that the victim had been lured to the location to buy marijuana and was then robbed.
Two of the suspects have been identified and taken into custody. One of the sus- pects was identified as 19- year-old Gavin Griffin. The second suspect, a 17- year-old juvenile, was not

for 20-year-old Ryan El- liott, also known as Hundo Rich. There is an active war- rant for his arrest. He is con- sidered armed and dangerous.
