Recent Howard University Graduate
MS. MIA BLOCKER
Congratulations are in order for the most recent graduate of the esteemed Howard University, Ms. Mia Blocker, daughter of Joy and the late Mark Blocker. She is an alum of Tampa Catholic High School and can now add Howard University to that list as she sets her sights on bigger opportunities ahead.
While at Howard University, Ms. Blocker was a Clinical Laboratory Science major and Biology and Chemistry double minor. Mia was inducted into the Epsilon Tau Sigma National Honors Society her freshman year. She maintained academic ex- cellence over the course of her time at Howard, graduating Cum Laude with a 3.55 GPA.
Along with her strong work ethic and personal drive for suc- cess, Mia Blocker was also fortunate enough to have had the faith and financial support of her loving grandmother, Ms. Juanita McCloud of Carver City.
Mia’s ambitious journey will continue as she now has plans to continue the pursuit of her dream of becoming an Anesthesi- ologist at the Johns Hopkins Medical School in the fall.
