Man Charged
Two Teens Jailed For Murder Of 17-Year-Old
The Polk County Sheriff Office is investigating the murder of a 17-year-old. It took place around 9:40 p.m., at the Gordon Heights Park, near Bartow.
According to police, the Emergency Communications Center received a 9-1-1 call from Gordon Heights Park near Bartow in reference to a shooting.
When deputies arrived on-scene they located 17- year-old Taigur Taguri, of Bartow. He was dead in the driver’s seat of a red Chevro- let Silverado truck. A female witness was in the passenger seat and told deputies the following: Taigur was hanging out with her in Lakeland earlier in the evening when he asked her if she wanted to go for a ride.
They ended up at this park, where she has not been before; she was not quite sure where they were. He told her when they arrived, that he was going to sell marijuana to some guys.
The witness then saw sev- eral unknown Black males approach the truck, open both doors, and begin shoot- ing the victim. Multiple firearms were discharged and

Taigur was shot multiple times. The witness, miracu- lously, was not hit by any bul- lets.
The suspects then fled the scene. The victim’s truck was towed by police from the scene for processing.
Sheriff Grady Judd
said detectives have arrested two 16-year-old suspects in the homicide of Taigur Taguri.
Both were located yester- day at a home on Gause Street in Bartow, near the park where the homicide occurred. Both are being charged with first-degree murder. No additional infor- mation had been released at press time.
One of the suspect’s father was also arrested on drug charges. The investigation is continuing.

A 54-year-old man has been arrested and charged with a murder. The murder took place in April, in Westchase. He was arrested on Monday.
According to the Hillsbor- ough County Sheriff’s Office, on April 23, 2021, between 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., the murder took place in the 9900 block of Sheldon Road. Through the course of an investiga- tion, a person captured on a video had been listed as “a person of interest.”

A man is facing several charges as a result of a shoot- ing that took place in the 15000 block of Countrybrook Street. He was arrested Sun- day afternoon.

The man has been identi- fied as Orbo Bailey. Bailey is charged with first-degree felony murder while engaged in robbery and robbery charges.
According to the Hillsbor- ough County Sheriff’s Office, around 1 p.m., Sunday, deputies responded to a home on Countrybrook Street, to conduct a welfare check on a juvenile. Upon arrival, deputies heard gunshots. A deputy’s vehicle was later struck by gunfire, but no deputies were injured. Deputies also did not return fire.
When deputies could not make contact with the juvenile or the suspect, they requested SWAT and the Crisis Negotia- tion Team (CNT) to be acti- vated.
The Bomb Disposal Team (BDT) was also activated after the suspect alluded to possible suspicious devices inside the home. BDT cleared the home and following further investi- gation, no suspicious devices were located inside the resi- dence.
However, the suspect, identified as 39-year-old Harold Davis Lewis, Jr., was taken into custody before SWAT or the Crisis Negotia- tors arrived. The juvenile did not suffer any injuries.
Lewis was charged with premeditated, attempted first- degree murder of a law en- forcement officer; 3 counts of discharging a firearm; child abuse; and resisting officer without violence.
Man Found Dead On Street In Sulphur Springs
Officers responding to person unresponsive find man dead in 1300 block of E. Sitka Street.
Detectives with the Tampa Police Department are currently investigating a death. The body was discov- ered early Sunday morning.
According to the Tampa Police Department, officers responded to the 1300 block of E. Sitka around 2:45 a.m., Sunday. When the officers ar- rived, they discovered an adult man who was unre-
sponsive. The unidentified victim was pronounced de- ceased at the scene.
