ANYTHING TO SEE YOU SMILE
AVI 6/16/87 – 3/29/14
Mama, I came down and sat with you when you cried that night. I sat beside you, held your hand, and then hugged your neck real tight. I saw you drift off to sleep, sitting in the chair. I kissed you on your cheek, so you’d know that I was there. And in your sleep you talked to me, and I talked to you. We talked about the things we never got to do. You told me how much you missed me and how you think of me each day. You reached out for me in your sleep saying, “son don’t go, please stay.” As I sat there watching you, you began to cry, shouting, screaming to our Father, “oh God, please tell me why.”
Mama, it’s not for us to ask why, how or when. Just know, if we ask, He’ll wash away our sins!
Mama, I want you to know I was there each time you cried. I’d put my head on your lap and I would lay by your side. I laid there staring at the tear tracks running down your face, then I whispered softly in your ear, “Ma, I’m in a better place.”
Mama, I know you’re sad, but be sad just for a little while. So when you hear someone say my name, it’ll make you smile.
Always with you, Avi.
BIRTHDAY MEMORIAM

Remember- ing you is easy, we do it every day. Missing you is the heartache that never goes away.
