‘Rattlers,’ Jameis Winston Selected For New St. Pete King Parade
FLORIDA A & M UNIVERSITY RATTLERS
The St. Petersburg MLK Parade has been in existence for more than 30 years and has grown to be the largest of its kind in the Southeast.
However, on January 16, 2017, when the event takes place, it will have undergone changes that include its name and or- ganizers.
The newly named MLK Dream Big Parade com- mittee has chosen the Florida A & M University Marching Band, along
with Tampa Bay Bucca- neer Jameis Winston to headline the event.
The new organizers are the Southern Christian Leadership Conference of Pinellas County, Advan- tage Village Academy, and Toriano Parker.
The parade will revise the route it has taken since its inception and end across from Tropicana Field. The organizers are planning a Family Fun Day at the field from 2:30 p.m. until 8 p.m.
