Surrender Your Dreams
day. Take the desire for it out of my mind and heart if it is not of You, and help me to die to it completely. If it is Your will for me, I trust You to resurrect my hope and make the dream hap- pen in Your perfect timing. I give You all the gifts and talents You have put in me and ask that You would use them for Your glory. I rest in the joy and peace of knowing my life is in Your hands.
Blessed be the LORD, be- cause He has heard the voice of my supplications! The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in Him, and I am helped therefore my heart greatly rejoices, and with my song I will praise Him. PSALM 28:6-7
Lord, I release all my hopes and dreams to You this day. If there is anything that I am long- ingforthatisnottobeapartof my life, I ask You to take away the desire for it so that what should be in my life will be re- leased to me. I realize how dan- gerous it is to make idols of my dreams – to try and force my life to be what I have envisioned for myself. I lift up to you all that I desire, and I declare this day that I desire You more. I want the desires of my heart to line up with the desires of Your heart.
Delight yourself also in the LORD, and He shall give you the desires of your heart. PSALM 37:4
Lord, I know that You have put dreams in my heart for Your purposes. And I know You want me to have a vision for my fu- ture. But I know, too, that in my dreaming and envisioning You don’t want me to exclude You. So I surrender to You all my dreams and ask You to give me a vision for my future.

Lord, as hard as it is for me to let go of the hopes and dreams I have for my life, I lay them all at Your feet. I know that as I die to them, You will ei- ther bury them forever or resur- rect them to life. I accept Your decision and fully submit to it. Led me in Your path, Lord. I don’t want to speak a vision of my own heart (Jeremiah 23:16). You never said life would be easy. You said You would be with me. I now take each step with the light of Your presence
as my guide.
I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation. The LORD GOD is my strength; He will make my feet like dear’s feet, and He will make me walk on my high hills. HABAKKUK 3:18-19
