1-Day College Tour
Mt. Olive AME Community Development, Inc. is sponsoring a 1-day college tour on Friday, March 18, 2016 during Spring Break.
The cost is $45 per person. Payment must be made before the trip, and checks should be made payable to Mt. Olive Community Development, Inc.
The trip is scheduled for Bethune-Cook-
man University and the bus will be leaving from Mt. Olive AME Church, 1902 W. LaSalle Sreet. (West Tampa) at 10:30 a. m. and will return to the church at 5:30 p. m.

Mr. William E. Turner, a Tampa native of Clearwater,
transitioned on March 10, 2016.
Memories will be cher- ished by: his wife, Agnes; children, William, Jr., Wil- helminia, Annetta, Joscia, Aprill and stepson, William; grandchildren and great grandchildren; and sibling, Eddie and Car- olyn.
Visitation will be held Thursday, March 17 from 6- 8 p. m. at Young’s Funeral Home, 1005 Howard Street, Clearwater, FL.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a. m. on Fri- day, March 18 at The Mt. Tabor Missionary Baptist Church, 2606 West Grace Street, Tampa.
Crime
Officers Involved In Serious Accident
St. Petersburg Police reported that at 12:23 a.m. Monday, a stolen car traveling at a high rate of speed hit an undercover pick- up truck at Central Avenue and 54th Street.
Police said six teenagers were in a car that had been reported stolen and some were seriously injured. Two were trauma alerts and were hospitalized.

cer was driving. They were both hospitalized, and their injuries are not considered to be life threatening. They were working together as part of an auto theft task force, but were not involved in a pursuit.
The six people inside the stolen vehicle were identified as Jamal Parker, 25 (the driver); Tyrek Philips, 17; Alisiya Webb, 18; Braniyah Flo- rence, 15, Aria King, 15, and Keeyana King, 17.

The Pasco County Sheriff’s Office has reported that three people were arrested Monday morning by a deputy who served a warrant at a home in Holiday.
William Jerome Howard, Jr., 26, Cecil Cooney, 36, and Aletha Frazier, 54, were ar- rested at 5333 Baroque Drive,

and Deputies also seized $6,646 in cash and two vehicles.
Howard was charged with trafficking in cocaine, cocaine manufacturing, being a felon in possession of a firearm / ammo, possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia. He was also charged for three sepa-

rate cases of sale/possession of crack cocaine.
Cooney and Frazier were charged with cocaine manufac- turing, possession of cocaine, being a felon in possession of a firearm / ammo, possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia.

The Hernando County Sher- iff’s Office reports that at 1:34 a.m., Friday, deputies were sent to Bamboos’ Bar and Eatery, 4564 Commercial Way in Spring Hill, on a report of a shooting.
When deputies arrived, they found two men had been shot in the parking lot of the bar by an- other man after a disturbance inside the bar.
Deputies have not released the names of the victims, but they did identify the suspect as Thomas Durkin, 25.
Deputies said one man was pronounced dead at the scene, and another is critical.
