RAY WILLIAMS
MS. GAIL ANITA ANDERSON
Ms. Gail Anita Anderson of Tampa passed away Monday, September 16, 2019. Funeral services will be conducted Sat- urday, September 28th at 11 a. m. at First Baptist Church of Lin- coln Gardens, 4025 W. Palmetto Street, with Reverend A. W. Greene, Pastor, officiating. In- terment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Ceme- tery.
Ms. Gail A. Anderson was a native and lifelong resident of Tampa, Florida. She was born to the late Hershel Anderson and Annie P. Thompson and was the youngest of two children. Gail was educated in the public schools of Hillsborough County, graduating from Leto Senior High School and later obtaining her Associates Degree from Hillsborough Community Col- lege.
After working at Tropical Garments for a few years, Gail gained employment with the City of Tampa working in the Records Department before be-
   coming the first African-Ameri- can Deputy City Clerk. Gail pro- vided invaluable service to the City Clerk’s Office for more than 18 years. As Deputy City Clerk, she worked in the highly respon- sible administrative position as Office Manager. She also helped to provide support to City Council and made the office very efficient and effective. Gail worked for three City Clerks including the re- tired Frances Henriquez, the late Janett Martin and the current City Clerk, Shirley Foxx- Knowles.
She also worked under the leadership of three mayors: San- dra Freedman, Dick Greco and Pam Iorio.
Gail was preceded in death by: her father, Hershel Anderson; sister, Cynthia Barner; and aunt, Mary Levette.
To cherish her memory: her only child, LaTasha Nicole Free- man-Holmes and her husband, Jerry Holmes, Jr.; four grand- children, Kamren Grier, JoNique Holmes, Jasmine Holmes and JaShaun Holmes; a loving and supportive mother, Annie P. Thompson; two nieces, Traci Barner-Brown (Trava) and Tiffany Barner; great nephews, Arseles Miller, Jr., Antonio Jack- son and Alec Archie; great nieces, Jala and Jada Jackson; aunts, Alma Kinsey (Sam), Sarah Shel- ton, Mary Robinson and Patricia Lawson; her grandmother, Silvia Allen; and a host of loving family, and friends.
The Visitation will be held Friday, September 27 from 6 p. m. to 8 p. m. at First Baptist Church of Lincoln Gardens, 4025 W. Palmetto St.

BROTHER MICHAEL LEE DAVIS
Brother Michael Lee Davis of Tampa, passed away Thursday, September 19, 2019. A Celebration of Life service will be held Satur- day, September 28 at 11 a. m. at New First Union Missionary Bap- tist Church, 3707 E. Chelsea Street, with Rev. B. E. Garmon, Sr., offici- ating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Ceme- tery.
Brother Michael Lee Davis, af- fectionately known as “MD,” was born to the late Lucille Fields- Davis in Tampa FL. He attended Hillsborough County Public Schools, and was employed as an over-the-road truck driver. His main hobbies involved working on cars, “Car Doctor,” and bar-b-que- ing. He was a faithful member of First Union M. B. Church, and was baptized under the leadership of Rev. C. J. Long. Mike remained a faithful member for over 20 years, singing in the No. 1 Choir and Male Chorus, participating in its Drama Ministry and serving on the Trustee Board. Mike was very ac- tive until his illness.
Michael leaves to cherish his memories: a loving and devoted wife of 10 1/2 years, with a friend- ship of over 12 years, Linda; chil- dren, Tegrea (Martha) Wilson of Waluska, GA, Shaltina (Myra) Wilson of Lake Wales, FL, and Maryssa (Brad) Thrasher of Tampa; grandchildren, DeShayla Graham, Tyaveon Levit, Tyvon Levit, Mikkah Thrasher, all of Tampa, FL, Tegrea, II and Jade Wilson of Flint, MI, Bryce Wilson of Waluska, GA, Jamecia Searight and Tristan Cooper of Lake Wales, FL; great-grandson, Isaiah Wilson of Flint, MI; brother, Herman (Joyce) Osby; sister, Linda Scurry; brothers-in-law, David (Dorothy) Coleman, Ronald (Jackie) Cole- man, Timothy Thompkins, and Reverend James (Cookie) Thomp- kins; sisters-in-law, Ida Coleman of Tallahassee, FL, Frances (Adele) Burton, Gloria (Robert) Williams of Raleigh, NC, and Gladys (Glen) Tyson; uncle, Ed- ward (Magnolia) Fields of Miami, FL; and a host of sorrowing nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The remains will repose Fri- day, September 27 from 6 to 8 p. m. at First Union M. B. Church, 3707 E. Chelsea Street.

MRS. DOROTHY ‘DOT’ HALL
Mrs. Dorothy “Dot” Hall of Tampa, passed away on Sunday, September 15, 2019. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 28th, at 2 p. m. at First Baptist Church of West Tampa, 1302 N. Willow Avenue, Tampa, FL, Reverend Rayford Harper, Pastor, with Reverend John Don- aldson, officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memo- rial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Dorothy “Dot” Hall was a native and lifelong resident of Tampa, Florida. She was the daughter of James Sr. and Sadie Wilson and was baptized at Mount Tabor Missionary Baptist Church. Dorothy graduated from Plant High School and fur- thered her education by attend- ing community college for fashion.
After leaving college, Dot en- tered the Banking and Finance Industry where she worked her way up the corporate ladder to management before deciding to go back to school to obtain a Master’s degree from Phoenix University.
Dorothy married her hus- band, William Hall in 1983, and they were blessed with two sons, Marcus and Mario. She loved planning outings and events for her family to make sure everyone got together. She was the true “Heart-Beat” of her family.
Dorothy was preceded in death by: her father, James Wil- son, Sr.; and brother, James Wil- son Jr.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her husband of 36 years, William; two children, Marcus and Mario; her mother, Sadie Wilson; siblings, Helena (Sam) Hawkins, Ann (Jerome) Johnson, Rosa Bruce, Johnny (Valla) Wilson and Michael (Tasha) Wilson; in-laws, Leroy (Adie) Hall, Deborah (Mack) Donaldson, Eric Hall and Richard (Tasha) Hall; a host of nieces and nephews as well as other loving relatives and close friends.
The remains will repose at 5 p. m. Friday, September 27 at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue.

MRS. LULA MAE HUNTER
Mrs. Lula Mae Hunter of Tampa passed away Saturday, September 21, 2019. Funeral services will be conducted Fri- day, September 27 at 11 a. m. at New Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 2511 E. Colum- bus Drive, with Reverend Larry L. Roundtree, II, Pastor, officiat- ing. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Lula Mae Hunter was a native of Gordon, Alabama, and a resident of Tampa for 54 years. She was educated in the public schools of Alabama. Mrs. Lula was a member of Mt. Zion M. B. Church and was a loyal and dedi- cated Homemaker.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, James Robinson and Fannie Green Robinson; her husband, James Hunter, Sr.; and one son, James Hunter, Jr.
She leaves to cherish her memory: 8 daughters, Dezzie Henry Smith (Jack) of Pembroke Pines, FL, Marie Hayes of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Shirley Kimble of Tampa, Evelyn Robinson (Luther) of Thomasville, GA, Anna Lundy (James) of Tampa, Ruby Gonzalex (Arturo) of Tampa, Ruth Smith of Tampa, and Renee Hunter, of Tampa; 3 sons, Earl Hunter (Gloria) of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Cal Hunter (Marian) of Atlanta, GA, and John Hunter (Jackie) of Tampa; 23 grandchildren; 49 great grandchildren; 16 great-great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
