RAY WILLIAMS
MS. LINDA JOHNSON
Ms. Linda Johnson of Tampa passed away Tuesday, September 17, 2019. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, September 28 at 2 p. m. at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, 3005 E. Ellicott Street, with Minister Bruce Bryant, officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Ceme- tery.
Ms. Linda Johnson was a na- tive and lifelong resident of Tampa, Florida. She was educated in the public schools of Hillsborough County and was a graduate of Robinson High School. Ms. John- son was a member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, where she actively served with the Women’s Intermediate Auxiliary “WIA.”
She was preceded in death by: her mother, Betty Lee Blue-John- son; father, Frank Wynn; and daughter, Lakiesha Johnson-Byrd.
She leaves to cherish her mem- ory: son, Collins L. Simmons; daughter, Jamika S. Johnson (Mo- hamed); grandchildren, Elijah A. Collins, Jordan L. Johnson and Jasmine A. Johnson; siblings, Frank Wynn (Vanessa), John Jenk- ins, Sr. (Lynn), Willie Reed-John- son (Jeanette), L. C. Johnson (Janice), Julius Wynn, Carolyn McCoy (Derrick), Lawanda Wynn, and Jessie Wynn; nephews, John, Johnshea, Willie, William, Joseph, Lawrence, Lical, and L. C.; nieces, Shanika, Laudrea, Regishia, Lawkithia and Munyaca; close cousins and friends, Sonia Jack- son, Marlene Bennett and Karen House; and a host of other relatives of friends.
The remains will repose after 5 p. m. Friday, September 27th at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue, and the family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.

MS. HELEN R. TAYLOR
Ms. Helen R. Taylor of Tampa, passed away Thursday, September 19, 2019. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, September 28th at 1 p. m. at Mount Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church, 2002 N. Rome Avenue, with Reverend Dr. C. T. Kirkland, Pastor, officiat- ing.
Ms. Taylor was a native of Douglasville, Georgia and a resi- dent to Tampa for most of her life. She was educated in the public schools of Hillsborough County and a graduate of Don Thompson High School. She furthered her education with St. Pete Junior Col- lege and the University of Tampa.
Ms. Taylor was a former member of Mt. Tabor M. B. Church, where she served on the Usher Board. She was employed as a Center Director for the City of Tampa Parks and Recreation.
She was preceded in death by: her grandparents, Willie and Car- rie Gibson; mother, Catherine Jones; brothers, Ruben Jones and Mack Jones; sisters, Betty Orr, and Joann Reid-Jones; grandson, Damon Larry, Sr.; niece, Lillian D. Jones; and granddaughter, Jen- netta Eronda Larry.
She leaves to cherish her memory: sons, Ronnell Larry and Frederick Larry, both of Tampa, FL; daughter, Lou Maxine Larry of Tampa; brothers, Bobby Jones of Miami, FL and James Jones of Clearwater, FL; a host of grand- children, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many sorrowing relatives; special friends, Florence Mosley, Valerie Daniels and Esther Beako; and a host of friends.
The remains will repose one hour prior to service time at the church on Saturday, September 28(12p.m.until1p.m.).
The family is requesting every- one to meet them at the church no later than 12:30 p. m.

MR. FREDDIE B. ‘FRED’ BARNHILL, SR.
Homegoing Celebration for Mr. Freddie B. “Fred” Barnhill, Sr., who passed on September 19, 2019, will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2019, at 11 a. m. at Friendly Missionary Baptist Church, 2012 W. Walnut Street, (corner of W. Walnut Street and N. Tampania Avenue), Tampa, Florida. with Pastor Johnny Miller, officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery, 4615 E. Hanna Avenue, Tampa, Florida.
Mr. Freddie B. Barnhill, Sr. was born on October 20, 1935, in Mitchell County, Georgia to the parentage of Bishop Barnhill, Sr. and Rosa Lee Perry Barnhill. He was one of seven children.
Mr. Barnhill attended high school in Mitchell County, Georgia. Later in life he moved to Tampa, and joined Friendly Missionary Baptist Church where he was a de- voted member.
Mr. Barnhill was preceded in death by: his father, Bishop Barn- hill, Sr.; mother, Rosa Lee Perry Barnhill; brothers, Bishop Barn- hill, Jr. and John Lee Barnhill; sis- ters, Mary Barnhill Wilson, Catherine Barnhill Bell and Rosa Barnhill Hinson; wife, Christine Barnhill and two children, Freddie Barnhill, Jr. and Dorothea Barn- hill.
He leaves to cherish memories of him with: five children, Earnes- tine (Troy) Bacon, Patricia Casteel, Rose Hazelton, Virginia Barnhill and William Barnhill; brother, George L. Barnhill, Sr., and wife Deborah Barnhill; sister, Laura Barnhill Duncan and a host of other relatives and friends.
There will be a viewing on Fri- day, September 27, 2019, at Wilson Funeral Home from 5 – 8 p. m.

MRS. MYRTLE TERRY BROWN
Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Myrtle Terry Brown, who passed on September 21, 2019, will be held on Friday, September 27, 2019 at 12:30 p. m. at Mt. Calvary S. D. A. Church, 4902 N. 40th Street, Tampa, Florida, Pastor Curtis B. Crider with Pastor Walter Gordon, Jr., officiating-eulogist. Interment will follow in Orange Hill Cemetery, 4900 E. Chelsea, Tampa, Florida.
Myrtle was born in Tampa, on September 4, 1950 to the union of Wilbert Terry, Sr., and Isabel Terry Collins, and step-mother, Liz Terry, and step-father, Leroy Collins. She was educated in the Hillsborough County School System. She matric- ulated at University of South Florida and earned a Bachelor of Art degree in Elementary Educa- tion. After graduation she began working for the Hillsborough County School System as a teacher. In 2008 she retired after over 30 years of teaching.
She was joined in holy matri- mony to Roy Brown; and from this union they are the proud parents of 6 children. Mrs. Brown was a de- voted and faithful member of Mt Calvary S. D. A. Church until her health began to fail.
