NATE BURLESON
Retired NFL star Nate Burleson has been tapped to be correspondent for Billy Bush’s new entertainment program, “Extra Extra,” when the show launches in September.
“It elevates Nate where he is becoming more and more of a transcendent, crossover tal- ent,” Nate’s agent, Mark Lepselter, said of the “Extra Extra” role. In March, Burleson worked as a spe- cial correspondent for “Extra Extra” and interviewed come- dian Tracy Morgan.

Trick Raiders With Bootleg Helmet
Antonio Brown’s seri- ous helmet dispute with the NFL had a funny moment re- cently, though it’s one the Oakland Raiders probably did not find too amusing.
Brown reportedly is re- fusing to play unless he can wear the helmet he has been wearing his entire career. The problem is the league has new helmet safety requirements, and Brown’s old-style hel- met is on the banned list be- cause it reportedly did not meet an acceptable level in lab testing.
When news of the Brown helmet story was reported on Friday, NFL Media’s Michael Silver shared nu- merous details about what was happening. Silver says Brown was vocal in OTAs

with the Raiders about his ob- jections to using an approved helmet. Though he accepted a new helmet, Silver says Brown later tried to take the field with a bootleg Raiders helmet. Silver further re- ported Brown tried to use his old helmet that he had re- painted as if he were attempt- ing to trick the Raiders.
Michael Irvin:
Cowboys Need
Ezekiel Elliott To
Win Super Bowl
DWAYNE HASKINS
The Washington Redskins have high hopes for Dwayne Haskins, but it sounds like there’s still work to do when it comes to reaching his poten- tial.
Coach Jay Gruden admit- ted that the Redskins like what they have in Haskins after his preseason debut, but want to work on his fundamentals.
Haskins debuted Thurs- day and went 8-for-14 for 117 yards, but threw two intercep- tions. Those are the kinds of mistakes that Gruden knows must be shut down before he can be relied upon in meaning- ful action. While Haskins will get the chance, it may be that they go with a more experi- enced hand in Case Keenum to start the season until Hask- ins can clean up the mistakes.
Michael Irvin played a position that is considered far more important in today’s NFL than the one Ezekiel Elliott plays, but the Hall of Fame wide receiver does not believe the Dallas Cowboys can get to where they want to be without Elliott.
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones made headlines re- cently when he basically said he believes the team can win a Super Bowl without Elliott, who is currently holding out for a new contract. In a brief interview with TMZ this week, Irvin spoke about how badly Jones wants to win an- other championship and said he won’t do it without Elliott.
“I know for a fact before Jerry Jones (leaves), he wants to drink the sweet nec- tar of a championship again.
EZEKIEL ELLIOTT
And that nectar he will not partake in without Ezekiel Elliott,” Irvin declared. “You may win games, you may sell tickets, and you may make some money, but that nectar you will not drink without Ezekiel Elliott.”
Irvin also said he does not blame Elliott for trying to seize an opportunity with his contract.
