Lela Rochon Steps Out
Damian Lillard Wants To Win A Grammy And Be Taken Seriously As An Artist
NBA star Damian Lillard has higher aspirations than simply getting a few props for his rapping ability. In an in- terview with TMZ, the Port- land Trailblazers point guard expressed his desire to win a Grammy Award and be re- spected as a Hip Hop artist.
After releasing his new album Big D.O.L.L.A. last Friday, the multi-time All- Star spoke on how much he cared about winning awards and receiving critical acclaim.

“I don’t care about it maybe to the level I care about being the MVP or winning a cham- pionship,” he said. “But I care about in the sense that how many NBA All-Stars or max contract players can say, ‘I le- gitimately won a Grammy’ and ‘I legitimately performed at the BET Awards.’ You know what I’m saying? Like, was really taken serious as an artist. Not off of my celebrity as a basketball player but re- ally off of me doing music.”
   Sporting Her Wedding Ring
Following Marital Humiliation
Lela Rochon took a break from Instagram last month after photos emerged showing her husband, director An- toine Fuqua, kissing Eddie Murphy’s ex-wife Nicole Murphy while the two were abroad in Italy.
Murphy initially claimed they had run into each other during a film festival and sim- ply exchanged a friendly kiss. But after being slammed on- line for being a “home- wrecker,” the 51-year-old changed her tune and apolo- gized for being messy with a married man.
“Without going into the en- tire situation, I want to apolo- gize to my family, and to Lela and the Fuqua family for what transpired,” she said in a statement to TMZ. “It was not my intention to be in this situ- ation. I do not condone women kissing or interacting in anyway inappropriately with a married man. I too was once married and I would never intentionally undermine another woman, despite what has been written.”
Rochon hasn’t spoken publicly since being humili- ated by her hubby, but she seemed to be in great spirits when she stepped out on the

red carpet for the first time since the drama unfolded. As reported by MadameNoire, she was present at Tuesday’s premiere of her new series, OWN’s “David Makes Man,” and inquiring minds took no- tice that she was rocking her wedding ring.
Kodak Black Posts Apology For Threatening Yung Miami Then Deletes It
MIAMI, FL – Kodak Black issued a Twitter mea culpa for his offensive raps about Yung Miami but eventually decided to scrub it from his page. The incarcer- ated artist publicly apolo- gized for threatening to hit the pregnant City Girls member in the stomach in a recent freestyle from jail.
“#YungMiami Gimmicks Are For Suckas,” he wrote in the since-deleted tweet. “As I Sit Back I Realize How Petty That Move Was And As A Man It’s Certain Things We Refrain From.”

versy last month when a freestyle he recorded over a jailhouse phone was released
via his social media accounts. On the brief song, he took a shot at Miami.
“I bought Yung Miami a ring, she bought an 808 baby/When I see her, I’ma hit that bi**h in her stom- ach/The way I keep this s**t too real they say I’m fu**ing up my money,” he raps.
808 Mafia producer Southside, who is Miami’s boyfriend, reacted to the track in a brief clip posted on Instagram.
“Somebody tell Kodak ‘suck a d**k,'” he said. “How ’bout that? Get up out of jail first, pu**y.”
Nipsey's Business Partner Reveals City Attorney’s Office Tried To Shut Down Clothing Store
Los Angeles city officials reportedly had it in for Nipsey Hussle and at- tempted to get his Marathon Clothing store evicted prior to the rapper’s death.
The LAPD also allegedly targeted the beloved entre- preneur as part of an investi- gation into suspected gang activity at the strip mall where Marathon is located, Yahoo reports.
Nip’s close business part- ner, David A. Gross, has revealed that the Los Angeles City Attorney’s office tried to convince him to evict the clothing store.
“The Los Angeles City At- torney’s office was trying to end us,” Gross wrote on In-
