Tampa Tech Ends Perfect Season, Losing To St. Pete High
Sickles High Gryphons will host Melbourne.
Tampa Bay Technical High Titans’ undefeated season ends.
3 County schools are left to play in the Region Finals on Friday
Tampa Bay Technical High School Titans ended its unde- feated season (23-1) on Tues- day evening, losing to St. Pete High (17-10), 85-77. Adrian Johnson is the Titans’ coach.
The Titans traveled to St. Pete to take on the Green Dev-
ils.
Three teams in the county
will be playing at 7 p. m. on Friday because of their close wins on Tuesday.
Melbourne will come to Tampa to play the Sickles Gryphons in the Class 8A matchup. Sickles (26-4), coached by Renaldo Garcia, defeated Bartow (19-10), 41-39.
Orlando Edgewater will also travel to Tampa to take on Hillsborough High (26-3) in the Terriers gym for a 7A matchup. Tuesday, Hillsbo- rough defeated Mitchell (21-8), 37-34. The head coach at Hills- borough is Chris Ward.
In the Class 5A matchup, Tampa Catholic (23-5) will host West Palm Beach
Oxbridge Academy. To get to the finals, Tuesday the Cru- saders defeated Community School of Naples, 64-60. Don Dziagwa is the head coach for Tampa Catholic.
Seffner Christian Aca-demy is taking a boys basketball team to the State Finals in Lakeland for the first time in school’s history next week, March 1st. The Crusaders (24- 6) defeated Orlando First Academy 67-49 in the 4A Re- gion Finals. Sam Moorer is the head coach at Seffner Christian.
Hillsborough High Terriers will host Orlando Edgewater.
