Local
Sheriff Tells Residents,
   ‘If You See Something,
   Say Something’
In light of ongoing tensions with Iran, Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister is reminding local residents: “if you see something, say some- thing.”
The phrase is a post-9/11 campaign to raise public aware- ness about the importance of re- porting suspicious, terrorism-related activity to local and state law enforcement au- thorities.
Sheriff Chronister said, “At this time there are no spe- cific, credible threats to Hillsbor- ough County, but your Sheriff’s Office will continue working with our local, state and federal partners to monitor and investi- gate anything that may arise. Keeping our residents and visi- tors safe is a top priority.”
Sheriff Chronister re- minds residents to stay alert to what is happening around them and not to hesitate to call 911 if they see something that seems odd.
“Do not assume that some- one else has called to report the incident,” added Sheriff Chro-

nister.
In addition to calling 9-1-1 for an emergency or 813-247- 8200 for a non-emergency, a tip can be shared anonymous with the Hillsborough County Sher- iff’s Office through the Tip 411 app.
