  Dedication Of Warren Hope Dawson Elementary School
  The dedication of Warren Hope Dawson Elementary School was held on Saturday, April 28th at the school in Riverview.
Dawson Elementary prides itself on being a new 21st Century school packed with cutting-edge technology and a small-school atmosphere that embraces a family-feel among students, staff and families.
Warren Hope Dawson is an attorney who specializes in matters involving civil rights and labor relations, and is a com- munity leader.
Atty. Dawson was instrumental in the desegregation of Hillsborough County Public Schools beginning in 1974. He is a graduate of FAMU, Howard Univ. Law School, and is active in the NAACP. Atty. Dawson has spent years working for educa- tional and leadership opportunities for area youth. (Photo- graphs by Frederick Harris)

  School officials who joined Atty. Dawson at the dedication were: Harrison Peters, Chief of Schools; Shaylia McRae, Area Superintend- ent; Atty. Dawson and Tamara Shamburger, Vice Chair, School Board.
Family members in attendance were: Darryl Warren Aaron, Naomi Warren Aaron, Joan Dawson and Crista Dawson.
  Color guards for the dedication were: Alejandro Feliciano, Ashton Mattingly, Jose Rubino and Devin McGranahan.
    Senator (Atty.) and Mrs. Darryl (Angela) Rouson were among the guests.
Also in attendance were: Harriet Ellington, Carol Williams, Dannean McDaniel, Dorothy McDaniel and Otella Edwards.
 These ladies at the dedication were: Tracye Brown, Marie Whelan, Gretchen Saunders, Marg Gayne, Debbie Cook and Barbara Hancock.
