Milwaukee Bucks Rookie Plans To Sue Police Who Tased Him Over Parking Violation
Milwaukee Bucks rookie Sterling Brown was attacked and tased by Milwaukee po- lice after parking in a handi- cap space at Walgreens in January.
Milwaukee Bucks rookie Sterling Brown plans to file a civil rights lawsuit against the Milwaukee Police Department as a result of being tased and arrested in January, his attor- ney confirmed.
As of Tuesday, internal in- vestigators at the Police De- partment had not asked the district attorney to consider criminal charges against any of the police officers or supervi- sors involved in the incident, according to Milwaukee County Chief Deputy District Attorney Kent Lovern.
The Department officials have not said whether any of the police involved in the arrest after questioning him about a parking violation will be disci- plined.
The daily newspaper in Mil- waukee first requested body camera footage of Brown's ar- rest and reports about it the day it happened. Police have repeatedly denied the request, citing the pending investiga- tion.
However after months, Brown and the Bucks team were told the body camera video would be released on Wednesday, according to Brown's attorney, Mark Thomsen of Gingras, Cates & Wachs.
Three people who have watched the video told the Journal Sentinel the NBA guard does not appear to do anything to provoke police.
"He isn't combative, isn't threatening," said one source. "Very bad.”
The mayor of Milwaukee is worried about the backlash now that the video has been made public.

Do Not Get To Kneel’ During
The National Anthem
The owners of NFL were in Atlanta this week and one of the items on the agenda was: the official rule against kneeling during the national anthem.
Following a year of hand- wringing and disagreement inside the league’s ownership ranks, team owners approved a new measure on Wednes- day that gives players the op- tion of staying in the locker room during the national an- them if they don’t wish to stand during the ceremonies.
Under the new rule, play- ers who choose to be on the field during the anthem will be required to stand. If a player or team employee is on the field during the anthem and chooses not to stand, that player’s franchise will be fined by the NFL.
In turn, players and em- ployees who choose to attend the anthem ceremonies, but do not stand will also be eli- gible for a fine by their fran-
chise, if the team chooses to levy one.
According to sportswrit- ers, players and fans, the NFL cannot win with the national anthem issue.
Some felt that no matter what the league did, it loses.
Some players will be upset if they’re not allowed on the field for the anthem any- more. If they’re allowed to be on the field for the anthem but are forced to stand at at- tention, that’s a whole new controversy.
Some owners don’t want any more players kneeling to bring attention to social causes, and a group of very vocal fans feel that way too.
Ty Lue Inadvertently Admits To Being Out-Coached By Brad Stevens
Steph Curry’s Mom Not Happy With Him Cursing During Game
Steph Curry got hot with his shot and his mouth in Game 3. But his mom, Sonya Curry was not happy.
One of the biggest myster- ies surrounding Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals on Wednesday was why Kyle Korver didn’t play more early in the game.
Korver did not play in the first quarter of the game and only saw 19 minutes of action in the 96-83 loss to the Boston Celtics. That’s simply not enough for a guy who was shooting nearly 50 percent on threes for the series entering the game and proved to be ef- fective in 25 minutes in a Game 4 win.
So why didn’t Korver
TY LUE
play more? Cleveland Cavaliers head coach Ty Lue said after the game that the reason was Korver usu- ally plays
against Boston’s Semi Ojel- eye, so when Brad Stevens didn’t play Ojeleye, it threw them for a loop.
It’s hard to know what’s worse: Lue’s inability to ad- just on the fly, or him publicly acknowledging it after the game.
Steph Curry’s team- mates loved his enthusiasm in Game 3, but his mother was not a fan of her son dropping the F-bomb on national tele- vision. After a slow start, Curry was on fire in the sec- ond half, and was seen yelling “this is my f—–g house” to the crowd when the camera zoomed in after a made bas- ket. His mother, Sonya Curry, has already issued a warning to her son.
“She already sent me two home videos, showing me the clip and playing it back,” Curry told ESPN. “She was telling me how I need to wash my mouth out, saying to wash it out with soap. It’s a mes- sage I’ve heard before. She’s right. I gotta do better. I can’t talk like that.”
Curry is outspoken about
his faith, and is known for try- ing to maintain a clean image. He admitted he will try to cut out the cursing next time around.
The Curry family have become staples at Warriors games including his parents, Sonya and Dell Curry. His father was a former NBA sharpshooter who shot over 40 percent from three over his career. Dell Curry spent 16 seasons in the NBA, but is mostly known for his time with the Hornets and Rap- tors.
Teammate and NBA star Kevin Durant did not feel the same way. Instead of chastising his fellow Warrior, he endorsed the behavior be- cause it is so out of character for Curry with a simple "f*** yeah."
