‘The Cause’ Men’s Conference Set To Address School-To-Prison Pipeline Crisis
First Victory Cathedral Church, under the guidance of Bishop Michael Lewis, Sr., pastor and founder, will hold a three-day conference from June 15-17 addressing the increasing patterns of contact African-American students have with the juve- nile and adult criminal jus- tice system, youth violence and mass incarceration.
Entitled “The Cause,” the first night of the conference will feature a panel discus- sion about the church’s re- sponse to the dropout rate and entry into the criminal justice system by African- American youth.
The panel will feature
Apostle Anthony Hamil- ton, of True Prosperity Church, community activist Jamar Simpson,
Damion Reid from the Tampa Housing Authority and Dr. Charles McKen- zie.
Day two of the confer- ence will feature a worship service held at First Victory Cathedral Church, and day three, the AMEN Men’s Ministry will sponsor a fish- ing trip and picnic to Philippe Park in Safety Har- bor for participating youth.

Thursday and Friday ses- sions of the conference are free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.
Thursday, June 15 @ 7 p.m. – Panel discussion held at First Victory Cathedral Church, 1920 East Sligh Ave., Tampa.
Friday, June 16 @ 7 p. m. – Worship Service held at First Victory Cathedral Church, 1920 East Sligh Ave., Tampa – Spiritual sons of Bishop Lewis.
Saturday, June 17 @ 7 a. m. – Meet at First Victory Cathedral for fishing trip.
