Accident Claims Life Of Son Of Former NFL Player

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office reports that on October 27th at 2:28 a.m., Maxwell Trent Holloway, 26, was driving west on Lutz Lake Fern Road when he failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway, causing his car to leave the roadway.
Holloway’s vehicle con- tinued traveling north until it struck a utility pole, went through a ditch, hit several trees and then hit the exterior of a home at 4202 Sandy Shores Drive.

Holloway’s vehicle came to rest on its roof in the back- yard of the residence. No one
inside the home was injured. Holloway was pro-
nounced dead at the scene. Holloway is the son of former NFL player, Brian Holloway, and the brother of Arizona Cardinals line-
backer, David Holloway. Maxwell Holloway was reportedly a football player at Jefferson High School and went on to play at Boston College. His dad played 10 seasons in the NFL for the New England Patriots and
the Oakland Raiders.
Two Children, Three Adults Killed In Traffic Accident
Five people were killed in a horrific traffic accident Wednesday night. The acci- dent took place on State Road 574 (Dr. M. L. King, Jr. Blvd.,) and Coconut Palm Drive.
Troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol responded to the location at approximately 9:47 p.m. The investigation revealed that Pablo Cortes, III, 22, of Brandon, was driv- ing a 2012 Volkswagen Golf.
Cortes was traveling west- bound on State Road 574 when for undetermined rea- sons, lost control of the vehi- cle and crossed over the median.
His vehicle collided nearly head-on with a 2015 Toyota Sienna, driven by 39-year-old Marianela Murillo, of Tampa. Ms. Murillo’s vehi- cle burst into flames after the impact.
Cortes’ vehicle rotated and then collided with a 2013 Toyota Scion, driven by Ms. Carla Marie Wyman, 54, of Seffner. Debris from Ms. Wyman’s vehicle struck a 2006 BMW, driven by Jamie Javier Ramirez Reye, 38, of Tampa.
Cortes and his passenger, 19-year-old Jolie Bar- tolome, of Lithia, were both killed as a result of the acci- dent.
Ms. Murillo died at the scene. There were also four passengers in her vehicle. Nine-year-old John Bernal, and 10-year-old Is- abell Bernal, both of Tampa, died at Tampa Gen- eral Hospital.
Ms. Louisa Luisa, 15, of and Ms. Lina Bernal, 18, both of Tampa, were admit- ted to Tampa General Hospi- tal in critical condition.
Ms. Wyman, who was alone in her vehicle, suffered serious injuries and was ad- mitted to Tampa General Hospital.
Ms. Mizoti Delilah Fer- nandez, 26, of Tampa, was a passenger in Reye’s vehicle. Neither of them reported any injuries.
The roadway was closed until 4 a.m., Thursday. No charges are expected to be filed in the accident.
